Following the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, global economic attention shifts to Panama City, where the Latin America and Caribbean International Economic Forum 2026 will serve as a key platform for regional and international dialogue. Hosted by the Government of Panama in partnership with the CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, the forum focuses on sustainable growth, investment frameworks, regional integration, and the evolving role of emerging economies in a multipolar global order.
Six heads of state will attend the forum, including Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who will deliver the keynote address, Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa, Guatemala’s President Bernardo Arévalo, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Bolivian leader Rodrigo Paz, and Chile’s president-elect José Antonio Kast. Their participation underscores the forum’s growing political and economic significance.
At this international gathering, ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials from countries including Colombia, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, South Africa, Egypt, Thailand, and the Philippines, as well as other nations, will also attend.
